Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, along with any dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. She received more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. Following her move from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local initiatives in both teaching and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
